The project is implemented by a Consortium of companies led by European Profiles S.A.
European Profiles SA was founded in 1991 with main area of activities the provision of technical assistance to governments and governments organisations under cooperation programmes financed by national and international donor organisations and international financial institutions. Since then, the company has achieved international recognition, with active presence in 36 countries, in the EU, MEDA, Central and East Europe, Africa, and Latin America, and has established close working relations with economic development agencies, universities, research centres, and civil society organisations in these markets. Its 40 permanent staff and over 200 associated experts offer services in (i) the set-up and/or restructuring of public and private institutions and agencies, (ii) human resources development, (iii) policy advice on social and economic development, employment promotion, competition, and consumer protection policies, (iv) design, planning and implementation of economic restructuring operational development programs within the EU financing instruments, (v) institutional strengthening & capacity building of government bodies and NGOs, (vi) awareness raising and public relation actions.
Intrasoft International S.A. is a subsidiary of INTRACOM SA Information Technology and Communication Services and was established in October 1996. Since then the company has become a European leader in the area of Information and Communication technology sevices .The company specialises in : (i) providing technical support to national and international goverment organizations to design and implement their policies , (ii) providing ICT application infrastructure and support services. The main service line are: application development; managed services, information and content management and professional services. Infrasoft exibits a prestigious customer list including European Institution (European Commission, European Central Bank, European Parlament), national goverment of both EU Member and New Mamber States,private organisations, multinational companies and telecomunications and Internett service providers.
Atkosoft S.A was founded in 1993 with the mission to integrate cutting edge technology with real needs of Information Technology users and to convert Research and Development results into innovative, breakthrough, maketable products.Since its establishment, AKTOSOFT SA has undertaken the role of prime contractor and main technology provider in numerous EC R&D projects.Nowadays AKTOSOFT SA constitutes one of the most widely acknowledged for its innovativeness and as well as a software technology provider in Europe, while it has been accredited by the TUV CERT according to the ISO 9001:2000 standard in development and provision if integrated information system servuces in the field of medical informatics, statistical applications, E-Commerce application and Internet applications.
National Statistical Service of Greece (NSSG) has been operating since 1860 and is a General Secretariat of the Greek Ministry of Economy and Finance with complete administrative and financial independence. It is the central national authority responsible for the production and dissemination of official statistics across a wide spectrum of areas of the economy and society. NSSG is organised into Central Adminisration and a network of 52 Regional Offices responsible for the co-ordination and supervision of field work,collection of data, conduct of checks and consequent transmission to the Central offices. NSSG also cooperate wiht a number of public institutions. line ministries and institutions of the private sector for the coordination of data collection.Finally, NSSG designs, collects and processes data from a variety of studies, censuses and statistical surveys.
National Statistical Institute of Romania was established in 1859 by royal decision. In its long history the NIS has built a reputation for credibility in the production of statistics. Its latest efforts to implement the acquis on statistics have been successful as the NIS has achieved to adapt the statistical system towards the market economy measurement and representation, has legislated in the area of statistics reflecting the current economic-social processes and political reality of the country, has implemented new technologies for the production and dissemination of statistical information, has implemented a Total Quality management system and finally has established a National Center for training in statistics to sustain continuous training of statisticians.
